Description

Delightfully sweet and chewy no-bake cereal bars that are easily customizable for a healthy snack.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups Cheerios or any O-shaped cereal
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter or almond butter
  • 3/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • A pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine peanut butter and honey over medium heat, stirring for 2-3 minutes until smooth and bubbly.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, pour in the Cheerios.
  3. Pour the warm peanut butter and honey mixture over the Cheerios and stir gently until coated.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a lined baking dish, pressing down firmly.
  5. Place the dish in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to set before cutting into bars.

Notes

Keep leftover bars in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week, or refrigerate for up to two weeks. These bars can easily be made vegan by using maple syrup instead of honey.
