- 1/3 cup onion, finely diced

- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/3 cup gluten-free breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Finely dice the onion into 1/8-inch pieces.
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly oil it.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, diced onion, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, black pepper, red pepper flakes, salt, parmesan cheese, and gluten-free breadcrumbs. Mix gently without overworking.
- Beat the egg in a small bowl and add it to the meat mixture, folding gently until it holds together.
- Roll the mixture into 1.5 tablespoon balls and place on the baking sheet, spaced about 1 inch apart.
- Drizzle olive oil over the meatballs.
- Bake for 22-30 minutes until golden brown and cooked through, ensuring the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
- Let them rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.
Notes
Do not overmix the meat mixture for tender meatballs. These meatballs can be refrigerated for up to four days or frozen for up to three months.
