- 8 oz. shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 8 oz. scallops
- 1 cup grated Gruyère or Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 small onion (finely chopped)
- ¾ cup breadcrumbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, melt 3 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the shrimp and scallops, cooking until just opaque, about 2-3 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix together the heavy cream and cheese until well combined, then gently fold in the seafood mixture.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour the mixture into a baking dish, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and additional cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown on top.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For an extra kick, add red pepper flakes. This dish can be assembled a day in advance.
