Ingredients

  • 2 cups mixed nuts (almonds, cashews, pecans, walnuts, hazelnuts)
  • 2 tablespoons tamari sauce
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together tamari, maple syrup, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne, and salt.
  3. Toss mixed nuts with glaze mixture until evenly coated.
  4. Spread nuts in single layer on prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  6. Sprinkle with sesame seeds during last 5 minutes of baking.
  7. Cool completely on baking sheet before storing.

Notes

  • Use unsalted nuts for best flavor control.
  • Don’t overcrowd baking sheet for even roasting.
