- 1 pound turkey sausage, ham, or bacon
- 1 bag (30 oz) frozen hashbrowns
- 1 cup shredded cheese (Cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Pepper Jack)
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the sausage, ham, or bacon over medium heat until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked meat, frozen hashbrowns, and shredded cheese.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder until smooth.
- Add the egg mixture to the hashbrown mixture and stir to combine.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the casserole is set and golden on top.
- Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and garnishing with chopped green onions.
Notes
For extra crispy hashbrowns, bake the potatoes for 5-10 minutes in the greased pan before adding the fillings.
