Ingredients
Scale
- 2–3 whole garlic heads
- 1–2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper (optional)
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme or rosemary (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut about 1/4 inch off the top of each garlic head to expose the cloves.
- Place each head on a piece of foil large enough to wrap it. Drizzle with olive oil, letting it seep into the cloves.
- Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and herbs if using. Wrap tightly in foil.
- Place in air fryer basket and cook for 25-30 minutes until cloves are golden brown and very soft.
- Carefully unwrap (watch for steam) and let cool slightly.
- Squeeze roasted garlic cloves out of their skins. Mash with a fork if desired.

- Freeze in ice cube trays for longer storage
- Great on bread, mashed potatoes, pasta, or in salad dressings
- For extra flavor, add a pat of butter before wrapping
- Smaller garlic heads may cook faster – check at 20 minutes
