Ingredients

- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 1 3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/8 tsp grated nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp maple extract
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Combine water, brown sugar, and pumpkin puree in medium saucepan
- Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes until sugar dissolves and mixture bubbles
- Whisk in cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves
- Cook for 2-3 minutes more to infuse spices
- Remove from heat and stir in maple and vanilla extracts
- Cool to room temperature
- Transfer to glass jar and store in refrigerator

- Store in airtight container in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks
- Can be frozen for longer storage

- Use pure pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling
