Description

A sweet and tangy cranberry sauce that perfectly complements ham, quick and easy to prepare.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh orange juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the fresh cranberries, sugar, and water over medium heat.
  2. Bring to a boil; stir occasionally until boiling (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Reduce to a simmer for 10-12 minutes until cranberries burst and sauce thickens.
  4. Stir in orange juice and cinnamon; combine well.
  5. Allow to cool slightly (5-10 minutes) before serving.

Notes

This sauce can be refrigerated for up to a week or frozen for three months. Prepare in advance to enhance flavor.
