This Pepperoni Pizza Grilled Cheese merges classic grilled cheese and pizza into one irresistible sandwich, perfect for comfort food lovers.
Ingredients

- 2 slices of bread (preferably sourdough or classic white)
- 2 tablespoons of butter (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup of fresh mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup of thick-cut pepperoni slices
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning
- Marinara sauce for dipping (optional)
Instructions
- Spread the butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
- Sprinkle garlic powder on the buttered side.
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat for about 2 minutes.
- Place one slice of bread buttered side down in the skillet. Layer with mozzarella cheese and sprinkle pepperoni on top.
- Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown, then carefully flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until cheese melts and both sides are golden.
- Remove from skillet, let cool briefly, then cut in half and serve hot with marinara sauce.
Notes
For a crispier crust, use a cast iron skillet. Feel free to customize with different cheeses or add veggies.
