Description

A sweet twist on the classic pecan pie, these easy-to-make crescent rolls are filled with a gooey pecan filling.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine 1/2 cup sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, and egg. Reserve 2 tablespoons of this mixture.
  3. Stir the chopped pecans into the filling mixture until well coated.
  4. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles on the baking sheet.
  5. Spoon 2 to 3 tablespoons of the pecan filling onto the widest end of each triangle and roll up towards the narrow end.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 minutes until they begin to puff up.
  7. Brush the rolls with the reserved sugar mixture and bake for an additional 5 minutes until lightly golden brown.
  8. Optionally, sprinkle additional chopped pecans on top before serving.

Notes

Using high-quality butter and fresh pecans enhances flavor. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
