Ingredients

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup pecan pie filling
  • 1 cup crumbled pecan pie crust
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • Chocolate shavings or caramel sauce for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth (about 2 minutes).
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until combined, about another minute.
  3. In another chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form (approximately 3-5 minutes).
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
  5. In a large trifle dish, layer half of the cream cheese mixture, followed by half of the pecan pie filling and a layer of crumbled pecan pie crust. Repeat these layers until ingredients are used up, finishing with the cream cheese mixture on top.
  6. Top with chopped pecans and drizzle with chocolate shavings or caramel sauce.
  7. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours (or overnight) before serving.
