Description

A delightful twist on classic French toast featuring the nostalgic flavors of peanut butter and jelly.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 12 slices of brioche bread
  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup raspberry jam
  • Optional: Maple syrup, melted creamy peanut butter, fresh fruit like sliced bananas or strawberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat the griddle to 350°F to 375°F and grease lightly as needed.
  2. Prepare the egg mixture by whisking together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until smooth.
  3. Spread 2 tablespoons of peanut butter on 6 slices of brioche and spread 2 teaspoons of jam on the remaining slices.
  4. Assemble 6 sandwiches by pairing slices of bread with peanut butter and jam.
  5. Coat the sandwiches in the egg mixture, ensuring all sides are coated.
  6. Cook the sandwiches on the griddle for 2-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Serve with optional toppings like maple syrup, melted peanut butter, or fresh fruit.

Notes
