Description

A delicious pan seared salmon recipe infused with bright citrus flavors, perfect for family dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Salmon fillets (skin-on)
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil (extra virgin)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 Lemon (fresh juice)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and pour in the olive oil until shimmering.
  2. Season the salmon fillets generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  3. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the salmon skin-side down into the skillet.
  4. Cook undisturbed for about 4-5 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the flesh is opaque two-thirds of the way up.
  5. Gently flip the salmon and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until just cooked through.
  6. Remove from the pan and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the fillets right before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, melt a bit of butter in the pan after cooking and drizzle over the salmon.
