- 4 Salmon fillets (skin-on)
- 2 tbsp Olive oil (extra virgin)
- Salt (to taste)
- Black pepper (to taste)
- 1 Lemon (fresh juice)
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and pour in the olive oil until shimmering.
- Season the salmon fillets generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- Once the oil is hot, carefully place the salmon skin-side down into the skillet.
- Cook undisturbed for about 4-5 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the flesh is opaque two-thirds of the way up.
- Gently flip the salmon and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until just cooked through.
- Remove from the pan and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the fillets right before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, melt a bit of butter in the pan after cooking and drizzle over the salmon.
