Description

A healthier, grain-free, and dairy-free version of the classic puppy chow, made with dark chocolate, almond butter, and coconut oil.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 1/2 cups Paleo cereal
  • 5 oz dark chocolate (88% cocoa recommended)
  • 1 Tbsp coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup almond butter (natural and unsweetened)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (pure)
  • 1/41/2 cup powdered monk fruit (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cereal by pouring it into a large mixing bowl and setting aside.
  2. Melt the chocolate and coconut oil in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth (about 3-4 minutes).
  3. Mix in the almond butter and vanilla extract into the melted chocolate until well combined.
  4. Coat the cereal with the chocolate-almond mixture, mixing until evenly coated.
  5. Cool in the fridge for about 10 minutes to allow it to set.
  6. Shake the coated cereal in a baggie with 1/4 cup of powdered monk fruit until fully coated, adjusting sweetness as needed.
  7. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.

Notes

Ensure almond butter is at room temperature for easier mixing. Use high-quality ingredients for better flavor.
