Description

A delightful twist on the classic tres leches cake with rich Oreo flavors and a creamy milk mixture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box of white cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 can (14 oz) of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can (12 oz) of evaporated milk
  • 1 cup of heavy whipping cream, divided
  • 1 cup of crushed Oreo cookies
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Whole Oreo cookies for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish by lightly greasing it.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the white cake mix, eggs, and 1 cup of milk according to the package instructions. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  3. Let the cake cool completely in the pan for about 30-45 minutes at room temperature.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and ½ cup of heavy cream until well combined.
  5. Poke holes all over the cooled cake using a fork or skewer.
  6. Pour the milk mixture over the cake slowly, allowing it to soak in completely.
  7. In another bowl, whip the remaining ½ cup of heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  8. Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies into the whipped cream mixture.
  9. Spread the Oreo whipped cream over the soaked cake evenly.
  10. Garnish with whole Oreo cookies on top and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Optional: Add a drizzle of chocolate syrup or caramel on top before serving.
