Description

Chewy, gooey cookies packed with colorful Valentine’s M&M’s and crunchy Oreo pieces, perfect for sharing on Valentine’s Day.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup butter (slightly softened)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 & 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup Valentine’s Day M&M’s
  • 7 Oreo cookies (roughly chopped, regular stuffed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the butter and both sugars together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the vanilla and egg, mixing until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
  6. Fold in the Valentine’s M&M’s and chopped Oreo pieces.
  7. Scoop out equal-sized balls of cookie dough onto the baking sheet.
  8. Bake for about 13 minutes, until slightly underdone.
  9. Use a larger cookie cutter to swirl around the cookies for perfect shapes.
  10. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to five days. Dough can be prepared a day in advance.
