Delightful Orange Sesame Glazed Cauliflower Wings that are crispy, flavorful, and a healthy alternative to traditional wings.

- 1 medium head cauliflower, cut into florets
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup crushed brown rice crackers or almond meal
- 1 cup fresh orange juice
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 2 tablespoons tamari soy sauce or coconut aminos
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar
- 3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons arrowroot flour or tapioca flour
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F) and line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Prepare the cauliflower by chopping it into bite-sized florets.
- Make your egg wash by whisking together the eggs until smooth.
- Coat each cauliflower floret in the egg wash, then transfer it to the breadcrumb bowl ensuring each piece is thoroughly coated.
- Bake the cauliflower for 25 minutes, then let cool on the tray for 5 minutes.
- Make the glaze by whisking together all ingredients except arrowroot flour in a pot, heating until it comes to a low boil.
- Thicken the glaze by stirring in arrowroot flour mixed with water until desired consistency is reached.
- Coat the baked cauliflower in the orange sesame sauce until well-coated.
- Serve immediately, garnishing generously with sesame seeds.
Notes
Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
