Description

A comforting and healthier twist on the classic Hamburger Helper, made with lean ground turkey, creamy sauce, and pasta—all in one pot!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 4.5 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 14 oz pasta (elbow macaroni or rotini)
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1 tbsp oil (olive or avocado)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground turkey, breaking it apart, and cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned.
  3. Sprinkle in garlic powder and onion powder, mixing well.
  4. Pour in chicken broth, milk, and marinara sauce, stirring to combine.
  5. Add the pasta, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  6. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 12-15 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  8. Once pasta is tender, remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar until melted.
  9. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For the best melting cheese, shred it from a block. Can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
