Ingredients

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups Old Fashioned Oats
  • 1 ½ cups raisins

Instructions

    1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    2. Line your baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
    3. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
    4. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
    5. Pour in the vanilla extract and add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

  • Stir in the Old Fashioned oats until the dough becomes thick, then fold in the raisins.
  • Use a tablespoon or cookie scoop to portion out the dough onto the baking sheets.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, until edges are lightly golden.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

 

Notes

For chewier cookies, remove them from the oven when they’re slightly underbaked. Store in an airtight container for freshness.
