- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend this dry mixture into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the oats and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Spread the mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until lightly golden on top.
- Allow to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days or refrigerate for a week. They can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
