  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend this dry mixture into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the oats and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Spread the mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until lightly golden on top.
  9. Allow to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
