  • 6 tbsp Nutella
  • 1 egg (room temperature)
  • 1 tbsp icing sugar

Instructions

  1. Unroll one piece of puff pastry and spread 3 tablespoons of Nutella evenly over the surface, leaving a small edge.
  2. Unroll the second piece of puff pastry on top and press down gently to adhere.
  3. Cut out star shapes using a medium-sized star cookie cutter.
  4. Mark a circle on parchment paper with a large dinner plate.
  5. Carefully arrange the star cutouts on the marked circle, overlapping them slightly.
  6. Whisk the egg and brush onto the pastry stars.
  7. Transfer the parchment paper onto a baking tray.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (fan) for 15 minutes until golden and puffed.
  9. Cool and serve, dusted with icing sugar.

Notes

Avoid overfilling with Nutella to ensure the pastry puffs up. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
