Description

A hearty and flavor-packed chili recipe without beans, focusing on robust spices and tender ground beef.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 recommended)
  • 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (smoked or sweet)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until translucent, about 4-5 minutes.
  2. Add 1 pound of ground beef to the pot, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Cook until browned, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes (with juice), tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Raise the heat and bring the mixture to a rapid boil, stirring occasionally (about 2-3 minutes).
  5. Reduce heat to low and allow to simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve hot in bowls and add your favorite toppings.

Notes

Customize with toppings like sour cream, cheese, or cilantro. This chili freezes well for meal prep.
