Description
A guilt-free, creamy peppermint protein ice cream that captures holiday flavors while being low in calories and rich in protein.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup 2% milk
- ½ cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 85 g non-fat plain Greek yogurt
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (about 31g)
- 1 reduced-calorie hot chocolate packet
- 1 tsp stevia (or sweetener of your choice, to taste)
- Pinch of salt
- 1 candy cane (crushed)
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in your Ninja Creami pint and whisk until well combined.
- Freeze the pint for 24 hours on a level surface.
- Run the pint under hot water for 1-2 minutes to slightly thaw it.
- Place the pint in your Ninja Creami machine and spin on the lite ice cream mode.
- If necessary, respin 1-2 times until the desired consistency is achieved.
- Create a well in the center of the ice cream and add most of the crushed candy cane.
- Spin on mix-in setting to distribute the candy cane throughout the ice cream.
- Serve topped with reserved crushed candy cane and enjoy!
Notes
Make sure to use room-temperature ingredients for best results and run your ice cream scoop under warm water for easy scooping.
