Description

A guilt-free, creamy peppermint protein ice cream that captures holiday flavors while being low in calories and rich in protein.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup 2% milk
  • ½ cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 85 g non-fat plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (about 31g)
  • 1 reduced-calorie hot chocolate packet
  • 1 tsp stevia (or sweetener of your choice, to taste)
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 candy cane (crushed)

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in your Ninja Creami pint and whisk until well combined.
  2. Freeze the pint for 24 hours on a level surface.
  3. Run the pint under hot water for 1-2 minutes to slightly thaw it.
  4. Place the pint in your Ninja Creami machine and spin on the lite ice cream mode.
  5. If necessary, respin 1-2 times until the desired consistency is achieved.
  6. Create a well in the center of the ice cream and add most of the crushed candy cane.
  7. Spin on mix-in setting to distribute the candy cane throughout the ice cream.
  8. Serve topped with reserved crushed candy cane and enjoy!

Notes

Make sure to use room-temperature ingredients for best results and run your ice cream scoop under warm water for easy scooping.
