- 4 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 4 sandwich buns
- Pickles
- Hot sauce
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
- Combine flour and spices in a bowl for the coating.
- Heat oil in a frying pan until it reaches 350°F.
- Coat chicken in the flour mixture and fry for 6-8 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Prepare a spicy sauce by mixing cayenne with hot frying oil.
- Assemble sandwiches with fried chicken, pickles, and spicy sauce.
Notes
To reduce spice, use less cayenne and add a cooling sauce. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days.
