Description

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 4 sandwich buns
  • Pickles
  • Hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
  2. Combine flour and spices in a bowl for the coating.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan until it reaches 350°F.
  4. Coat chicken in the flour mixture and fry for 6-8 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Prepare a spicy sauce by mixing cayenne with hot frying oil.
  6. Assemble sandwiches with fried chicken, pickles, and spicy sauce.

Notes

To reduce spice, use less cayenne and add a cooling sauce. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days.
