Delightful turkey meatballs stuffed with gooey mozzarella, perfect for family dinners or as party appetizers.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground turkey (94% lean)
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/3 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 32 mozzarella balls (pearl-sized)
- 2–4 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 24-oz jar marinara sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, parmesan, panko, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until combined.
- Take about 2 tablespoons of the mixture, flatten it, and place a mozzarella ball in the center. Wrap the meat around the cheese and seal it. Repeat with remaining mixture.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and brown meatballs on all sides for 2–3 minutes each or bake on a sheet for 12–15 minutes.
- Warm marinara sauce in a saucepan. Once meatballs are cooked, add them to the sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Serve hot with pasta, on sub rolls, or as appetizers.
