Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package of pre-made puff pastry (thawed)
- 1 pound ground beef or lamb
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups prepared mashed potatoes (homemade or store-bought)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Sauté the diced onion until translucent in a skillet over medium heat (about 3-5 minutes). Add garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Add the ground meat, breaking it up until browned (about 8-10 minutes).
- Stir in the mixed vegetables, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 3-4 minutes to meld the flavors.
- Roll out the puff pastry to fit your muffin tin, about 1/8 inch thick. Cut into squares or circles.
- Assemble the bites by greasing the muffin tin, placing pastry in each cup, and filling with meat mixture. Top with mashed potatoes.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the pastry is golden brown and filling is bubbling.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
You can customize the filling with lentils for a vegetarian option or add spices for extra heat.
