Description

Delightful hand-held pockets filled with mozzarella and pepperoni, these Mini Pepperoni Calzones are perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 package refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Garlic powder (optional)
  • Oregano (optional)
  • Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface and cut it into circles about 4-5 inches in diameter.
  3. Place a small amount of mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices on one half of each circle.
  4. Sprinkle with garlic powder and oregano, if desired.
  5. Fold the dough over to create a pocket and seal the edges by crimping them with a fork.
  6. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  7. Place the calzones on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Let them cool slightly before serving with marinara sauce for dipping.
