- 1 package refrigerated pizza dough
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup pepperoni slices
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Garlic powder (optional)
- Oregano (optional)
- Marinara sauce (for dipping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface and cut it into circles about 4-5 inches in diameter.
- Place a small amount of mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices on one half of each circle.
- Sprinkle with garlic powder and oregano, if desired.
- Fold the dough over to create a pocket and seal the edges by crimping them with a fork.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Place the calzones on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let them cool slightly before serving with marinara sauce for dipping.
