Description

Delightful individual pastries filled with a warm and inviting apple mixture, spiced with cinnamon, perfect for sharing or enjoying on your own.


Ingredients

  • Pie Crust: Store-bought or homemade with all-purpose flour and cold butter
  • 34 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pie Crust: Roll out the dough to about 1/8 inch thick and cut into 5-inch circles (about 12). Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Make the Filling: In a bowl, combine diced apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and salt.
  3. Assemble the Pies: Place 1-2 tablespoons of the apple mixture in the center of each dough circle and crimp the edges with a fork.
  4. Bake: Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Cool & Serve: Let the pies cool for 5-10 minutes and optionally dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

These mini pies can be customized with different flavors and stored for up to 2 days at room temperature or 1 week in the fridge.
