- 2 sole fillets
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season the Sole Fillets with salt and pepper on both sides and let sit for 5 minutes.
- Dredge the fillets in flour, shaking off the excess.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the fillets and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Remove the fillets and keep warm on a plate.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and lemon juice, cooking until the butter is browned.
- Pour the brown butter sauce over the fillets and garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
For a gluten-free option, substitute all-purpose flour with a gluten-free flour blend. Serve with a light arugula salad or roasted vegetables.
