- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter

- Fruits and whipped cream for decorating
- Maple syrup (optional)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 1 cup flour, 1 tablespoon matcha powder, 2 teaspoons baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon salt until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 cup milk, 2 tablespoons melted butter, 1 large egg, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth and frothy.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Gently whisk or fold until just incorporated, being careful not to overmix.
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or vegetable oil.
- Scoop batter into the pan to make small, medium, and large circles. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until bubbles form on top, then flip and cook for another minute until golden.
- Stack the pancakes largest to smallest to form a tree shape. Decorate with fruits, whipped cream, and powdered sugar as desired.
Notes
Ensure your butter is slightly cooled before mixing; do not overmix the batter to keep pancakes fluffy.
