Description

A crunchy and healthy snack made with chickpeas, maple syrup, and cinnamon that satisfies your cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can of chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained and rinsed
  • 2 tablespoons of pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Drain and rinse the chickpeas thoroughly. Spread them on a clean dish towel and pat dry for at least 10 minutes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the maple syrup, olive oil, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Stir until blended, then add the dried chickpeas and toss to coat.
  4. Spread the chickpeas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and crunchy, stirring halfway through.
  5. Let the chickpeas cool on the baking sheet to improve crispness.
  6. Enjoy as is or store in an airtight container.

Notes

For best results, ensure chickpeas are completely dry before roasting and store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
