  • 1 pinch kosher salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven: Set it to 350°F (175°C). Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk the dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and kosher salt.
  3. Cream the butter and sugar: In a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, mix the room-temperature butter and packed brown sugar until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add the egg and syrups: Toss in the egg, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and maple extract. Mix until fully combined.
  5. Combine the dry and wet ingredients: Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Scoop the dough: Using a cookie scoop or spoon, portion out the dough into balls about 1.5 inches in diameter.
  7. Bake the cookies: Pop them in the oven for about 8-9 minutes.
  8. Cool and glaze: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack, then drizzle with prepared glaze.

Notes

For best results, use pure maple syrup and quality extracts. Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
