Description
A delightful side dish combining sweet maple syrup, savory bacon, and tender carrots, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups fresh carrots, peeled and cut into 1–2 inch pieces
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 6 strips thick-cut bacon, cut into small pieces
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Peel and cut the carrots into manageable pieces—about 1 to 2 inches long.
- In a mixing bowl, toss the carrot pieces with maple syrup until they’re evenly coated.
- Mix the cut bacon with the carrots.
- Arrange the carrots and bacon mixture in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes until the carrots are tender and the bacon is crispy.
- Serve warm as an appetizer or side dish.
Notes
For the best caramelization, consider roasting your carrots separately for the first 15 minutes, then adding in the bacon for the last 15 minutes.
