Description
A no-bake tropical dessert layered with creamy goodness, ripe mangoes, and crunchy graham crackers.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 large ripe mangoes (preferably Carabao or Ataulfo)
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream, chilled
- 1 can (300 ml) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- 1 pack graham crackers (around 200g)
- 1/3 cup crushed graham crackers (for topping, optional)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Prepare the Mangoes: Peel and slice the mangoes into thin strips. Set aside a handful for topping.
- Whip the Cream: In a mixing bowl, beat the cold heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add in sweetened condensed milk and vanilla (if using), then mix until thickened.
- Layer the Base: Layer whole graham crackers in a single layer at the bottom of an 8×8-inch dish.
- Spread the Cream: Spoon half of the whipped cream mixture over the graham cracker base.
- Add Mango Layers: Place a layer of mango slices on top of the cream.
- Repeat the Layers: Spread another layer of whipped cream over the mangoes.
- Top it Off: Arrange reserved mango slices on top and sprinkle with crushed graham crackers.
- Refrigerate: Cover tightly and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight to set.
Notes
Ensure the heavy cream is well-chilled for better whipping. This dessert can be made ahead of time and keeps well in the fridge.
