Ingredients

  • 1/2 Small Onion, finely diced
  • 3 cups Green Cabbage, shredded
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
  • Salt and Black Pepper to taste
  • 2 Green Onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon Toasted Sesame Seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients: Chop the onion, shred the cabbage, and mince the garlic.
  2. Cook the beef: In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the aromatics: Drain excess fat, then add the diced onions and minced garlic; cook for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Incorporate the cabbage: Add shredded cabbage and cook for 4-5 minutes until tender.
  5. Season: Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, ground ginger, salt, and pepper; heat through for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Garnish and serve: Remove from heat and top with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For best results, do not overcook the cabbage to retain its crunch. This dish can be easily customized by adding other vegetables.
