Description

A classic Italian-inspired dish featuring juicy shrimp, zesty lemon, and fragrant garlic, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.2 lb spaghetti
  • 0.75 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1.1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 3 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp dry white wine
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil the pasta in a large pot of salted water until al dente, about 9-11 minutes.
  2. Prep garlic and parsley while the pasta cooks.
  3. Drain pasta, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.
  4. Sauté garlic in olive oil over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add red pepper flakes and cook for 30 seconds.
  6. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Pour in white wine and let reduce for 30 seconds.
  8. Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  9. Incorporate reserved pasta water for a smooth sauce.
  10. Toss spaghetti in the skillet with the sauce and shrimp.
  11. Mix in Parmesan and parsley, then serve immediately.

Notes

Make sure shrimp is at room temperature for even cooking. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
