Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking sheet lightly.
- Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
- Add the eggs one at a time, fully incorporating each before the next, and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Mix the dry ingredients in a separate bowl and gradually add to the butter mixture until just combined.
- Shape cookies onto the baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are set.
- Cool cookies on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Make the glaze by whisking powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
- Glaze the cooled cookies and serve.
Notes
For a thicker glaze, let it sit for a few minutes before drizzling.
