A delicious Italian Grinder Salad Sandwich layered with crunchy veggies, savory meats, and flavorful cheeses, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- Italian Bread
- Lettuce (Romaine or Iceberg)
- Tomatoes (ripe, heirloom preferred)
- Red Onion (thinly sliced)
- Pepperoncini
- Salami (thinly sliced)
- Capicola
- Provolone Cheese
- Olive Oil (extra virgin)
- Red Wine Vinegar
- Oregano (fresh)
- Salt & Pepper
Instructions
- Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise.
- Layer lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and pepperoncini on the bottom half.
- Add layers of salami, capicola, and provolone cheese on top of the veggies.
- Drizzle olive oil and red wine vinegar, then sprinkle with oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Close the sandwich and press down slightly.
- Cut into portions and serve immediately.
