Description

A delicious Italian Grinder Salad Sandwich layered with crunchy veggies, savory meats, and flavorful cheeses, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • Italian Bread
  • Lettuce (Romaine or Iceberg)
  • Tomatoes (ripe, heirloom preferred)
  • Red Onion (thinly sliced)
  • Pepperoncini
  • Salami (thinly sliced)
  • Capicola
  • Provolone Cheese
  • Olive Oil (extra virgin)
  • Red Wine Vinegar
  • Oregano (fresh)
  • Salt & Pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise.
  2. Layer lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and pepperoncini on the bottom half.
  3. Add layers of salami, capicola, and provolone cheese on top of the veggies.
  4. Drizzle olive oil and red wine vinegar, then sprinkle with oregano, salt, and pepper.
  5. Close the sandwich and press down slightly.
  6. Cut into portions and serve immediately.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh. Store leftovers separately to keep bread fresh.
