A delightful and easy-to-make Spider Pie that captures the essence of Halloween with rich pumpkin filling and festive decorations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 2 cups of pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ginger

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves until well blended.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream until the mixture is velvety smooth.
  5. Pour the filling into the pre-made pie crust.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the filling is set, checking with a toothpick.
  7. Let the pie cool completely.
  8. Drizzle chocolate syrup in a spider web pattern over the top.
  9. Place edible candy spiders on the pie creatively.
  10. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Allow eggs and cream to come to room temperature for easing mixing. If using a frozen crust, let it sit out for about 10 minutes before pouring in your filling.
