Description

A delightful fusion of rich, fudgy brownie flavors encased in a soft, tender loaf of bread, perfect for sharing or indulging.


Ingredients

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup hot fudge sauce
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup hot fudge sauce, warmed
  • ¼ cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until combined.
  3. In a separate large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
  5. Alternately add the dry ingredients and buttermilk to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the hot fudge sauce and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 55-60 minutes.
  8. Let cool for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Drizzle with warmed hot fudge sauce and sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts before serving.
