Description

Indulgent rolls filled with gooey chocolate and mini marshmallows, drizzled with creamy icing—perfect for cozy gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet of instant yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt until well combined.
  2. In a saucepan, gently heat the milk and butter until warm, about 5 minutes on low heat.
  3. Pour the warm milk mixture into the dry ingredients, and add the egg. Stir until a dough begins to form.
  4. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough back in the bowl, cover it with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) while the dough is rising.
  7. Once risen, punch the dough down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle.
  8. Sprinkle chocolate chips and mini marshmallows over the rolled-out dough.
  9. Carefully roll the dough up tightly from one end to the other, forming a log.
  10. Use a sharp knife or dental floss to cut the log into 12 equal rolls.
  11. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  12. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffy.
  13. While the rolls are baking, whisk together the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and milk until smooth.
  14. Drizzle the icing over the warm rolls and serve while soft and gooey.

Notes

These rolls are best enjoyed fresh. Can be stored at room temperature for 2 days or refrigerated for up to a week.
