Description

Cozy Hot Chocolate Cookies filled with gooey chocolate chips and mini marshmallows for a delightful winter treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend into the creamed mixture.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes; they should be slightly underbaked in the center.
  8. Remove from the oven and immediately top each cookie with a mini marshmallow.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
