Description

A sweet and spicy chicken dish featuring a sticky glaze made from honey and sriracha, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 23 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water (optional, for thickening)
  • Sesame seeds and chopped green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and sesame oil.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat; cook chicken for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Remove chicken from skillet and keep warm.
  5. Add sauce to the skillet and simmer; if preferred, stir in cornstarch-water mixture and cook until thickened.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet, coating with sauce for 2–3 more minutes.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

Ensure chicken is at room temperature for even cooking. You can marinate the chicken for additional flavor.
