- 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup cornstarch (for coating)
- 1/4 cup oil (for pan frying)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 bulb garlic (finely minced)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- Dried parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prep the Chicken: Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
- Score and Sausage: Lightly score the meat side of the chicken and pound to ensure even cooking.
- Marinate: Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Marinate the chicken for at least 15 minutes.
- Cornstarch Coating: Lightly coat each chicken thigh with cornstarch.
- Pan Fry: Heat oil in a pan and cook chicken skin-side down for 4–5 minutes, then flip and cook the other side.
- Prepare the Sauce: In the same pan, melt butter, add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Sauce It Up: Stir in honey and soy sauce, simmer until thickened.
- Coat the Chicken: Return the chicken to the pan and coat with the sauce, garnishing with parsley if desired.
