  • 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch (for coating)
  • 1/4 cup oil (for pan frying)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 bulb garlic (finely minced)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Dried parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Chicken: Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
  2. Score and Sausage: Lightly score the meat side of the chicken and pound to ensure even cooking.
  3. Marinate: Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Marinate the chicken for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Cornstarch Coating: Lightly coat each chicken thigh with cornstarch.
  5. Pan Fry: Heat oil in a pan and cook chicken skin-side down for 4–5 minutes, then flip and cook the other side.
  6. Prepare the Sauce: In the same pan, melt butter, add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  7. Sauce It Up: Stir in honey and soy sauce, simmer until thickened.
  8. Coat the Chicken: Return the chicken to the pan and coat with the sauce, garnishing with parsley if desired.
