Description

A nostalgic homemade version of Strawberry Toaster Strudels made with flaky puff pastry and rich strawberry jam.


Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry (thawed and kept cold)
  • 1/31/2 cup strawberry jam (all-natural preferred)
  • For the Glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (sifted)
  • 34 tablespoons non-dairy milk (or regular milk)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out your puff pastry on a clean surface and cut it into rectangles, about 4×6 inches.
  3. Spoon 1-2 tablespoons of strawberry jam onto the center of each rectangle, leaving a half-inch border.
  4. Fold the pastry over the jam and seal the edges with a fork.
  5. Place the filled pastries on the baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  6. While baking, whisk together the powdered sugar and non-dairy milk for the glaze.
  7. Let the strudels cool slightly before drizzling the glaze over them.
