Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup milk
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, pureed
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons cream or milk

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together flour, sugar, softened butter, milk, eggs, baking powder, salt, vanilla extract, and strawberry puree until well combined.
- Pour the batter evenly between the prepared pans and smooth the tops with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- For the frosting, cream the softened butter and powdered sugar together until smooth. Add vanilla extract and enough cream or milk to reach desired consistency.

- Decorate with fresh strawberries and serve.
