Description

Delicious and crispy homemade quinoa patties that are healthy and customizable.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cooked quinoa
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Combine 1 cup cooked quinoa, 2 large eggs, 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, 1/4 cup breadcrumbs, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon paprika, and salt and pepper to taste in a mixing bowl. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into patties about 2–3 inches in diameter with damp hands.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat until it shimmers slightly.
  4. Add the patties to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Flip carefully using a spatula.
  5. Remove from skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  6. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, if desired!

Notes

Use organic or free-range eggs for better quality. For gluten-free, substitute breadcrumbs with ground oats or gluten-free panko.
