Description

Crispy and flavorful homemade pork egg rolls filled with seasoned pork and fresh vegetables, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 cup cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1/2 cup carrots, grated
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 package egg roll wrappers
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add ground pork and cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add cabbage, grated carrots, green onions, minced garlic, soy sauce, and ginger. Stir and cook for another 3-4 minutes until veggies are tender.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
  4. Lay an egg roll wrapper on a flat surface and place about 2 tablespoons of filling in the center. Fold the bottom corner over the filling and roll tightly while pulling in the sides. Seal the top corner with a dab of water.
  5. In a deep pan or fryer, heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry the egg rolls in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove and drain on paper towels, then serve warm with dipping sauce.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days or frozen before frying for up to 3 months.
